In the late 15th century the skillful Murano glass craftsmen expanded their craft to include the production
of glass rods made with different colored layers, with some of the centre layers resembling rosettes, stars
and other shapes - and so millefiori was created. The same processing techniques used then are still used
today and all of our millefiori is made in Murano.
